IonQ prices $2.0B equity offering at $93.00 per share (16.5M shares)
On 2025-10-10 IonQ announced the pricing of a $2.0 billion underwritten equity offering: 16,500,000 shares of common stock at $93.00 per share plus pre-funded warrants to purchase 5,005,400 shares at $93.00 (together approximately $2.0 billion in gross proceeds), accompanied by seven-year warrants to purchase 43,010,800 additional shares at a $155.00 exercise price. IonQ later disclosed the offering closed on 2025-10-14, contributing to pro-forma cash, cash equivalents and investments of approximately $3.5 billion as of 2025-09-30.
At $2.0 billion the offering exceeds the §8 $1.8B=8 anchor and is the largest single public equity raise by a quantum pure-play in the period; the measurable dilution and ~$3.5B pro-forma cash clear the score-8 major-capital-event bar and rank it above IonQ's own $1.0B July offering (7), resolving the dollar-scale ordering between the two raises.
The raise — roughly four times QCI's same-week $750M placement — concentrates capital at IonQ during the rally and lets it self-fund the 256-qubit roadmap and Vector Atomic integration without near-term debt.
