IonQ renews customer agreement with UAE's Technology Innovation Institute
IonQ announced on 2025-01-27 the renewal and expansion of its agreement with Abu Dhabi's Quantum Research Center at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII). Per IonQ's press release, the renewed customer agreement extends the parties' January 2023 partnership and adds access to IonQ Forte, a 36-qubit all-to-all-connected trapped-ion system rated at the AQ 36 benchmark. TII applications cited include qubit-efficient physical-system simulation, quantum image processing, linear-systems solving, and financial portfolio optimization. No contract value is disclosed.
This is a renewal of an existing commercial customer relationship rather than a new win, providing recurring (undisclosed) revenue and a sovereign reference customer in the Gulf.
