Quantum Computing Inc completes its $110M acquisition of Luminar Semiconductor
On 2026-02-03 Quantum Computing Inc. (Nasdaq: QUBT) announced it had completed the previously agreed $110 million all-cash acquisition of Luminar Semiconductor, Inc. (the section 363 transaction announced 2025-12-15), bringing the photonic-semiconductor technologies, patents and team into QCi to support its thin-film-lithium-niobate roadmap. Disclosed via Form 8-K (Item 2.01).
Closing the Luminar Semiconductor acquisition converts the December agreement into an owned photonics capability and team, a concrete (filing-grounded) integration milestone for QCi's TFLN roadmap; it is the follow-through of an already-logged deal, placing it in the mid band.
With the photonics IP and engineers in hand, QCi's execution question shifts from deal-close to integration and ramping volume TFLN production.
